It’s easy to forget the reasons why we love what we do as the obligations of everyday adult life become the dominant priority. On a bright Sunday, I ventured out to High Line Park with my Nikon D610 and a sense of no obligations on my mind. If you are not familiar with or have not visited the High Line Park, I must tell you that it is a green oasis in the concrete jungle of NYC. An above-ground train track that once served as the physical support and pathway for million of commuters as they trained from 14th to 34th street along the West Side, is now a greenway of beauty. The repurposed metal now serves as the structural support for, flowers, trees, benches, food stands, play sets, beautiful artworks and people. The featured image on this page of a sailor kissing a woman, was taken from the deck of the park. As I walked down the winding path of the green oasis, the bright background colors of the street art popped through the trees. My only obligation as I existed at that moment was to capture the image as I saw it and recapture the love that I lost – photography. “Exist as you are in each moment.” iJustShoot.com
