14-0707 Vacation – A Sense Of Being

IJS_2770

I often am asked, “why don’t you take a vacation?” So I started thinking – and it came to me one Monday evening, after work, as I sat holding my camera. It was clear to me that “a vacation is not simply the acts and feelings of being on a remote island or in a villa on the beach. It is the feeling of being free from the mental, and sometimes physical, constraints of mundane processes of our lives.” I like to believe that I vacation all the time – as my mind and body feels free from everyday life every time I shoot.

In this capture, the spirals of two paralleled banisters, give the illusion of an endless continuation, accented by an outline of the beautiful freedom tower in the distance. Free your mind of what we have been programed to perceive as a “vacation”. Vacation every day. -iJustShoot.com
